The Coagulation Tube obtains plasma for coagulation function tests. It contains buffered 3.2% (0.109 mol/L) sodium citrate with a blood-to-citrate ratio of 9:1. The anticoagulant is stable and microbial limits are strictly controlled for APTT testing.
